Планирование на будущее
Where to Start?
Planning ahead can help guide a person with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD) to lead a good life as independently as possible. A plan is important throughout all stages of life and especially in the future after the parent or caregiver is no longer able to provide support.
Future planning can be beneficial to many aspects of a person’s life, including finances, living arrangements, medical care, education, employment, and support services.
To help get you started:
- The Arc of the United States has developed comprehensive online planning tools on its Center for Future Planning website. We encourage you to look at the extensive amount of information and resources they offer, and try out the Build Your Plan feature.
- We have a recorded webinar, originally presented on 12/18/2019, that gives an overview of how to begin a Future Plan with your loved one.
- You may also contact our team at The Arc Oregon if you would like to schedule a personal planning appointment with one of our team members to help identify your personal needs and walk you through the planning process.
