We are excited to announce the third annual Self-Advocacy Convention of Oregon! The 2026 Convention will take place in Portland on Tuesday, November 17. This will be an Oregon-specific self-advocate event leading up to The Arc of the United States’s National Convention on November 18-20.
 
The Self-Advocacy Convention of Oregon is planned by advocates, for advocates and their supporters. This year’s one-day event will include guest speakers, small group conversations, networking time, and fun social activities. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event for self-advocates!

What is the schedule like?

Tuesday, 11/17

12:00 Check-in and Box lunch available

1:00-2:00 Self Advocate Keynote

2:00-4:30 Structured activities including short presentations and interactive sessions

4:30-7:00 Dinner break and flexible time to explore the downtown area

7:00 pm Hosted Evening Activity

What does it cost?

The registration fee is $95. This fee includes lunch and access to all of the convention sessions and activities.

Hotel rooms in our group block start at (TBA, approx. $200 per night)

Is there financial assistance?

Yes! Thanks to generous support from our sponsors and from the Oregon Special Needs Trust (OSNT) Remainder Fund Grant Program, we are offering full financial support to self-advocates and family members to attend this unique event.

Our financial assistance can cover:

  • Registration fee for self-advocates and a DSP or person who supports a self-advocate to participate
  • Hotel room
  • Assistance with travel arrangements
