This training session is designed for caregivers, educators, and professionals who work with children and want to deepen their understanding of emotional regulation. Participants will explore practical tools and strategies to support co-regulation and promote healthy emotional development in children. The session will provide a foundational understanding of stress responses and how to help children apply coping strategies when faced with emotional challenges.
Participants will gain an understanding of:
• Use specific tools and strategies learned in the training to promote healthy relationships and co-regulation with the children they support.
• Understand and apply the concepts of stress responses, including helping children implement healthy fight, flight, and freeze strategies to self-regulate.
• Recognize stress responses and potential triggers, create supportive environments, and apply healthy coping strategies for themselves and the children they support.
• Create meaningful, individualized tools for children to support self-regulation based on their unique needs.
