Supporting Dignity of Risk

$40.00

Event Date/Time: April 2, 2024, 10:00 – 11:30 am

Instructor(s): Lindsay Dutton

Every person has the right to learn and one of the ways we learn is by
taking risks in life. It is important to understand the concept of dignity of risk, and how to assist people with supported decision-making. We take risks every day and by helping someone think through decisions and weigh options can support their dignity of risk.

Join us to:

  • Understand the meaning of dignity of risk.
  • Identify the difference between important TO and important FOR, and how to find the balance between the two.
  • Explore creative ways to support a person’s dignity of risk through supported decision-making.
  • Engage in hands-on practice and discussion to help promote dignity of risk.
