The Arc Oregon has a long and rich history of leading and collaborating on a wide variety of projects and initiatives designed to advance the rights and enhance the lives of people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. We are always seeking out new opportunities to bring new opportunities for growth and innovation to Oregon.
Financial Literacy Education
Through a grant from The Arc US and MetLife Financial, and with support from Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB), we are able to offer important Financial Literacy training to individuals and families throughout Oregon.
Co-Occurring Diagnoses Study
The Arc Oregon, in partnership with The Arc Lane County, was awarded the opportunity to participate in this important work through The Arc US to assess current needs and challenges of people who experience co-occurring IDD and Mental Health diagnoses.
Outreach to Aging Caregivers
In partnership with The Arc US Center for Future Planning, and through a grant from The Retirement Research Foundation, we are offering a unique opportunity for human services professionals to learn how to engage aging caregivers who are providing direct support to an adult son or daughter with IDD in the future planning process.
Supported Decision Making: An Alternative to Guardianship Train-the-Trainer Program
We are excited to be collaborating with community partners to develop a train-the-trainer program on Supported Decision Making for professionals and families supporting school-to-community transition aged youth.
Pathways to Justice
Pathways to Justice is a field-tested criminal justice and disability training program.
Sexual Health and Healthy Relationships Certification Program
The Sexual Health and Healthy Relationships for People with IDD Certification Program will provide the opportunity for professionals, caregivers, and family members to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide specialized support for sexual health to people with IDD. By completing the entire certification program, participants will be equipped to support people as a sexual health advocates and provide quality training to others around the foundations of sexual health and development for people with IDD.
