The Arc Oregon has a long and rich 역사 of leading and collaborating on a wide variety of projects and initiatives designed to advance the rights and enhance the lives of people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. We are always seeking out new opportunities to bring new opportunities for growth and innovation to Oregon.
The Sexual Health and Healthy Relationships for People with I/DD Certification Program will provide the opportunity for professionals, caregivers, and family members to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide specialized support for sexual health to people with I/DD. By completing the entire certification program, participants will be equipped to support people as a sexual health advocates and provide quality training to others around the foundations of sexual health and development for people with I/DD.
In partnership with The Arc US Center for Future Planning, and through a grant from The Retirement Research Foundation, we are offering a unique opportunity for human services professionals to learn how to engage aging caregivers who are providing direct support to an adult son or daughter with I/DD in the future planning process.
We are excited to be collaborating with community partners to develop a train-the-trainer program on Supported Decision Making for professionals and families supporting school-to-community transition aged youth.
